“The forces shaping the coming decades:
the power of experience and the connection to community.”

Andrew Zolli, Futurist

New and old will come together in the design of the new Witte. An acequia will carry water from the river, through the grand lobby, out over the walkways, driveways and lawns, and into a pool fronting Broadway. The splashing water will greet and invite the occupants of 20,000 cars that pass in front of the museum every day.

Visitors will have a sense of arrival. They will walk immediately into a gallery of dinosaur skeletons. Guests will queue for admission in comfort before moving into the galleries and open, natural spaces of the Witte Museum campus.
