Witte
Museum
is
San Antonio
's premiere
museum
of
South Texas
history, culture, and natural science. Located in
Brackenridge
Park
, on the banks of the
San Antonio
River
, the Witte offers permanent exhibits that include dinosaur skeletons, cave drawings, wildlife dioramas, and even some live animals. Several historic homes have been reconstructed on the campus, which also features the very popular H-E-B Science Treehouse. Changing galleries include
Texas
artists, textiles and showcase exhibits, some locally produced and some traveling national exhibits.

Operating Hours
The Witte Museum is open year-round except for the third Monday in October, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Monday - 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Tuesday - 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Wednesday-Saturday - 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday - Noon - 5 p.m. |

Admission
The general admission price includes the exhibits in the main
building, the Witte Backyard and the H-E-B Science Treehouse.
Please note that some special exhibits may have an additional
fee or surcharge.
Admission is free on Tuesdays from 3 pm until 8 pm. Free Tuesdays are generously supported by Frost Bank Charitable Foundation, Bolner’s Fiesta Products, and Mrs. Martha Landsman.

Program is a consortium of more than 270 museums throughout the
world. The Witte is a part of this collection of museums that
encourage reciprocity. Members have free access to other ASTC
