Voice Your Support! The New Witte and Bond 2012

As a friend of the Witte Museum, we urge you to let your city councilman/woman know how important the Witte is to you and your family. The Witte is ushering in a new era and we’ve only just begun. We are moving forward to the next phase of our expansion that will change the Witte so dramatically, we are calling it The New Witte. The New Witte includes a major new museum entrance in the Valero Great Hall to welcome visitors; the complete renovation of the 85-year-old main building; the creation of a new entrance and orientation gallery to San Antonio; the addition of a new Exhibitions and Special Events Hall so that the Witte can bring blockbuster exhibitions to San Antonio; and the inclusion of an aqueduct that links an excavated 1719 Acequia Madre to Broadway in a dynamic water feature with adjoining riverside wetlands. The New Witte will reinvigorate the Witte’s historic main building into a functional modern facility, becoming a destination for visitors near and far.
