Group Visits

Student Group Rate

Who qualifies? Students, age four through high school, qualify for a group rate of $2 per student. Public, private and home schools are eligible, as well as day-care centers and organizations such as scouts, YMCA and church group.

What are the requirements? A minimum of 15 people, no fewer than 13 children and 2 adults, are considered a student group.

At least one adult chaperone must accompany every 10 students. The first adult chaperone is free. Additional adult chaperones receive the student group admission rate of $2. Please schedule your visit at least eight days in advance for a self-guided visit, and two weeks in advance for educational programs to get this rate.

Adult Group Rate

Who qualifies? Adults 18 and older qualify for the group rate of $7.00 per person. A special group rate of $6.00 is available for individuals age 65 and up.

What are the requirements? A minimum of 10 adults is considered a group. Please schedule your visit at least eight days in advance for a self-guided visit to get this rate.

A confirmation letter from Guest Reservations is required as verification of your group's reservation. When calling to schedule your group visit, please have the following information available:

All teachers registering for self-guided visits to the Witte receive a Field Guide. Teachers and chaperones may use the Field Guide to lead students on an expedition of learning throughout the museum's exhibits, including the H-E-B Science Treehouse. The Field Guide includes a map of the four-acre Witte campus, discovery questions for each of the museum's major exhibits and extension activities for home or school.
