The Unforseen Movie Screening
The San Antonio River is a defining feature of the city both culturally and ecologically, and the Witte’s location along its banks makes water and conservation central to the museum’s mission in the community.
Join us for a screening of The Unforeseen (2007), a documentary about the tension between environmental concerns and land development interests in the struggle over Austin’s beloved Barton Springs. This program is a collaboration with the University of the Incarnate Word as part of a film series leading up to the premiere of the Where Rivers Meet project, a performance aimed at opening up the conversation about water and community in South Texas.
The Unforeseen movie screening is cosponsored by Green Spaces Alliance.
