“Are You An Emotional Eater?”
Recognizing your emotional state can help you reduce calories. For a long time I had been what a lot of people called an “emotional eater”. The quality and quantity of what I ate depended strongly on how I felt on the inside. So now before I start eating I ask myself a few questions like:
- Am I really hungry?
- Am I eating because I am stressed out or nervous?
- Is this food healthy?
- What else can I do instead of eating to feel better?
Asking these questions help me realize that often what I am really craving is just a walk in the park to help me relax and make better choices.
