As we mark 100 years of the Witte\, we also honor the woman who started it all\, Ellen Quillin\, alongside the many women who have helped highlight Texas’s landscapes and wildlife. Hear from Jennifer Bristol\, author of Wild Women for Good: Stories of Conservation in Texas\, and Helen Holdsworth\, curator of the McLean Family Texas Wild Gallery and Director of Stewardship Education\, as they share stories of the wild women who have protected the state’s landscapes and wildlife. \nFollowing a guided gallery experience\, you will participate in a hands-on watercolor session with featured artist Alicia McAllen.
