Cocktails & Culture: Witte Watercolors

6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

This after-hours program highlights the women who have shaped conservation in Texas, past and present.

Celebrate Women’s History Month with an evening of storytelling, art, and exploration at Cocktails & Culture: Witte Watercolors. As we mark 100 years of the Witte, we also honor the woman who started it all, Ellen Quillin, alongside the many women who have helped highlight Texas’s landscapes and wildlife. Hear from Jennifer Bristol, author of Wild Women for Good: Stories of Conservation in Texas, and Helen Holdsworth, curator of the McLean Family Texas Wild Gallery and Director of Stewardship Education, as they share stories of the wild women who have protected the state’s landscapes and wildlife.

Following a guided gallery experience, you will participate in a hands-on watercolor session with featured artist Alicia McAllen. Inspired by Texas-native flora and fauna, you’ll create your own original piece in a relaxed, social setting.

Your ticket includes guided gallery access, light bites and drinks, and all materials needed to complete your watercolor painting.

Space is limited. Advance tickets are strongly recommended.

Cost: $40 per person (non-member) / $32 per person (member)
