Witte Unlocked • Ages 6-8 & 9-12
Want to go on an adventure at the Witte? Go behind the scenes to discover the animals of our state in Texas Wild. Bring your lab coat and goggles for a day of immersive science in the H-E-B Science Treehouse. Become a historian for a day and step back in time and explore what life was once like in Texas. And finally, explore the field of paleontology and discover more about the dinosaurs that roamed Texas. Every day is a new adventure at Witte Camp!

Cooking Up History • Ages 6-8 & 9-12
Step back in time to discover the flavors of Texas. Explore historical recipes and learn how to prepare dishes using seasonal summer ingredients inspired by the state’s rich culinary traditions. What will you cook up at Witte Camp?

Have you ever tried to send a rocket to the moon or design a rollercoaster with wild thrills? Experience STEAM at the Witte as we explore as many different sciences as we can! Practice your creative thinking skills and design amazing projects in the fields of engineering, technology, art and so much more. What will YOU create?

Defense Detective • Ages 6-8 & 9-12
Ever wonder how animals stay safe from predators? Discover how animals protect themselves with superpowers like camouflage, armor, stinky sprays and more. Get up close with these awesome creatures and explore our special exhibition, Staying Alive!

Nature’s Inspirations • Ages 6-8 & 9-12
How does nature inspire scientists to advance technology? Explore the world of engineering by observing natural wonders – bird wings, natural slimes, and so much more! Together we’ll think outside the box and look to the great outdoors to answer problems like a real scientist! How will you be inspired?

Dino Explorers • Ages 6-8 & 9-12
What did Texas look like millions of years ago? What animals used to live here? Embark on a weeklong journey to investigate our ancient past. Immerse yourself in fossils from the Museum’s own collections and learn the science skills needed to study dinosaurs and other ancient life from a real-life paleontologist. Identify different types of fossils through hands-on investigations of dinosaur fossil teeth, claws, tracks and more. What will you uncover?

How are dinosaurs discovered? Where did the earliest people of Texas live? Explore the wonders of archeology, paleontology and science while immersed in natural history. Join us to uncover the layers of earth and rock that mark Texas and join Witte educators to uncover the wonders of the Witte.
