Witte Unlocked • Ages 6-12
Want to go on an adventure at the Witte? Go behind the scenes to discover the animals of our state in Texas Wild. Bring your lab coat and goggles for a day of immersive science in the H-E-B Science Treehouse. Become an archeologist for a day and step back in time and explore what life was once like in Texas. And finally, explore the field of paleontology and discover more about the dinosaurs that roamed Texas. Every day is a new adventure at Witte Camp!

Nature’s Inspiration • Ages 6-12
How does nature inspire scientists to advance technology? Explore the world of engineering by observing natural wonders– bird wings, natural slimes, and so much more! Together we will think outside the box and look to the great outdoors to answer problems like a real scientist! How will you be inspired?

Cooking up History • Ages 6-12
Have a blast this summer as we step back in time to learn about what makes the food of our state unique. Did you know that the Frito was invented right here in San Antonio? Join us as we make Frito pie and other iconic Texas foods. What will you cook up at Witte Camp?

Paleo Pioneers • Ages 6-12
What did Texas look like millions of years ago? What animals used to live here? Embark on a weeklong journey to investigate our ancient past. Immerse yourself in fossils from the Museum’s own collections and learn the science skills needed to study dinosaurs and other ancient life from real-life paleontologist. Identify different types of fossils through hands-on investigations of dinosaur fossil teeth, claws, track and more. What will you uncover?

Art-Venture Camp • Ages 6-12
Ever wondered how nature inspires artists? Explore and create art through the lens of nature! Art-Venture will ignite imagination and allow campers to express themselves through colorful canvases and artistic discovery. What will you create?

Fantastic Flyers • Ages 6-12
What was it like to share the skies with flying giants? Explore special exhibition, Pterosaurs and uncover how these incredible creatures lived, flew, and hunted millions of years ago. Discover the four different times in Earth’s history that animals took to the skies, and how humans have learned to build machines to follow them. Get ready for a soaring adventure!
