Join us at the White Shaman Preserve for a weekend of exploration, imagination and togetherness at the annual Rock Art Rendezvous.
Every year the Witte hosts this transformational gathering, which features rare access to irreplaceable rock art sites in the Lower Pecos Canyonlands. Camp out under the big skies of Texas, marvel at ancient rock art sites and watch the sun set over a Northern Coahuila desert landscape. Enjoy humanity’s shared history together at the annual Rock Art Rendezvous.

Tickets include:
- Primitive camping spot at the White Shaman Preserve – bring a tent or trailer (26′ max)
- Guided tours of extraordinary rock art sites including Meyers Spring, Painted Shelter, White Shaman, Tinaja Canyon, Centipede Cave and more
- Saturday evening BBQ dinner, raffle and live music by Josh Glenn Experiment
- Curator Conversations with Dr. Harry Shafer, Curator Emeritus of Archaeology and Dr. Thomas Adams, Chief Curator and VP of Research
- Cowboy coffee and oatmeal breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings
Location: The Witte Museum’s White Shaman Preserve, 2 miles west of Seminole Canyon State Park approximately 45 minutes west of Del Rio. Gates open at 11am on Friday, February 27, 2026. All visitors are to depart no later than 4pm on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
