Have you ever wondered what scientists can learn from analyzing oysters?

Join Dr. Steve Durham for Saturday with a Scientist: Amazing Oysters. Dr. Durham is an invertebrate paleoecologist and works as an Environmental Specialist with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He studies the life history and ecology of mollusks, especially oysters. With research topics including predator/prey interactions and how oyster life histories have changed over time.

Stop by to get an up close look at snail shells, oysters and plankton, learn about oyster reefs and their benefits to people and the environment and watch what happens to plankton once oysters are introduced into their environment.
