Welcome to a journey through Deep Time. Enter beneath a blue Cretaceous sky as pterosaurs glide overhead. Explore layer upon layer of Texas history stacked from floor to ceiling, packed with evidence of past life from millions, thousands and hundreds of years ago. Discover the place where water, land and sky meet and find out how they shaped the environments of the past, and now shape your world today.

Map your path through the wonders of the Witte, traveling from dinosaurs to the wild rugged lands of Texas; from prehistoric rock shelters to cowboys on the trail; from the pumping of your own heart to six ever-changing exhibition galleries. Don’t miss the beautiful riverside gardens and paths, which cross the historic Acequia Madre and lead from the Zachry Family Acequia Garden, past the Will Smith Amphitheater, the Onderdonk artist studio and the Log Cabin, to family-favorite Water Works and Little Treehouse.
